My son Andrew surprised me and gave me a ticket to fly to Berlin via Toronto and Copenhagen. He planned a trip for us to go to Amsterdam and Paris together after seeing Berlin!!!He was graciously awaiting my arrival on Sept. 19 as I got to Berlin ...that morning we both had tears in our eyes because I actually made it, all by myself, to Berlin where he lives ! We spent the next two days in Berlin, him being my tour guide, taking me to some of the most historic places in Berlin. Among them, the remains of the Berlin Wall, the great Cathedral, and the Holocaust Memorial. We also went to the famous Ka De We, where we ate and shopped on the 9 floors of this huge and famous department store.
