I just love this guy....his concerts are the BEST, I could see him over and over again, and I do!!! Southern Voice Tour this year is by far my favorite, though.

Just take a good look at him....and listen to his songs.

Summer at the Lily Pad

Summer is here and it has been a hot one!! We have had company and the pool has had many visitors.....here are some pictures of who came to see us...
Zach, Kristen, Pat and Ava were here one weekend and we all had fun swimming and trying on sunglasses!!! Ava looked like Bono!

Kaitlyn, Jim's daughter, came from Tennessee and brought her dog Tucker along. They stayed with us about 6 days and we went to a Dave Matthews concert and Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum concert. We had a GREAT time!!! Jim's sister Mindy also spent the weekend while Kaitlyn was here. All the dogs in all our families get along fine...they have fun too!

Now Kristen and Ava are here for a visit and Sarah is going to do Ava's 2 year old pictures tomorrow. So it should be fun! I might just have to take a few myself to post them!!!!

Ava's 2nd Birthday

Well, June 19, Ava turned 2!!! Kristen had a party for her at the Little Cove, a kiddie swim park. It was really nice. She loves Nemo and her cake that Julie made had Nemo on it. Her friends came and everyone had a nice time.
I brought her a doll that was purchased in 1992 by my Mother, her great grandmother, that had never been opened. It has the same eye color and hair color as Ava! The clothes that the doll is wearing match an outfit I had made for Kristen when she was about 2! WHAT a coincidence, or was it meant to be?
Anyway, she has a very special present, from her Great Nanny and Nana!!!!

Lily&Jimmy

Lily really took a liking to Jimmy. He played with her and she followed him around the house. It was fun seeing her find a friend and be able to trust and enjoy someone that much. If I needed a dog sitter, I would leave her with him anytime to play if he only lived near us!!!! He just knows how to keep her happy!!!

Jimmy's Visit

Coming all the way from New York inspired family to get together to see Jimmy! We had a big spaghetti and meatball dinner and played cards all night. I think Mindy lost, but was winning the whole time until the end. Jimmy and Chad did pretty well, and so did Nicole.

New Nickname for Lily "Flounder"

Well, this is just too funny! Jimmy was out here to visit from New York. He noticed how Lily lays down. She stretches out with her paws in front but her back legs lay out like a frog. So he nicknamed her Flounder!!!! I guess now I am going to have to try and get a picture of her laying like that! But this one was too cute, so am posting this one, first. I will try to catch her doing that and post it. Promise!

Spring Forward....Summer is coming again!!!

Little Bonnie loves sweet summer time! Ever since I can remember, the beach, the Jersey coast, boating, pool parties, and barbecues with swimming and family have all been at the top of my list for the most memorable and happiest times of my life. Yes, I am a home body, and wish my family all lived closer to me, but we take what we can get when our children are adults and out of the nest, have their own lives to live and don't live nearby. I have hopes that one day will come when they are all here together again this summer. Our pool parties are the best! We have the best times...and the kids bring their friends, too. My son, Andrew, who is a DJ, lives and works out of Berlin, Germany. I have yet to go there to visit him.
Do you think it is my turn? If I had a travel partner I would go.. I miss seeing him. This year he hasn't been back yet, like the other years. I am hoping he will move back to the USA.
